About Me
-
My mission is to protect, uplift, and inspire the next generation while giving back to my community.
I am deeply committed to advocating for mental health in sports, ensuring young athletes not only succeed on the field but also feel supported emotionally by creating a safe, empowering, and accessible recreation center where young athletes can not only compete but also express themselves, grow emotionally, and receive the support they deserve. This facility will break barriers by offering affordable therapy, academic tutoring, and exposure to sports that have traditionally been less accessible to Black youth, such as tennis, lacrosse, golf, etc. These sports represent missed opportunities for scholarships, education, and advancement—opportunities I am determined to bring to our community.
Mental health in youth sports is too often overlooked, and I refuse to let it be ignored. My facility will be more than just a sports complex; it will be a space where young athletes can open their hearts, voice their emotions, and receive the guidance they need—both on and off the field.
Currently, I am building my expertise in sports marketing, forging the connections and gaining the experience necessary to make this vision a reality. But my ultimate goal is clear: to create a movement that reshapes youth sports, prioritizes mental well-being, and levels the playing field for future generations.

I am currently the Marketing Manager with the Washington Spirit, where I lead integrated campaigns across paid media and out-of-home channels. My work focuses on growing audience engagement, deepening fan connection, and translating organizational priorities into meaningful, human-centered storytelling. I also oversee paid social strategy, performance optimization, and cross-channel campaign execution, using data not just to measure impact, but to improve how we show up for our community.
Part-time, I serve as a Site Coordinator at Player Progression Academy. In this role, I’m closest to the ground, helping shape athletes by supporting structure, safety, and connection so they can navigate both sport and life.
Across both roles, my work stays rooted in the same mission: creating spaces where youth feel seen, supported, and emotionally held—especially within sports environments where that hasn’t always been the norm. I care deeply about the relationship between mental health, identity, and athletics, and I’m building my career to meet at that intersection.

Growing up, I immersed myself in various sports, and by high school, I had dedicated myself to three: lacrosse, basketball, and volleyball. I was honored to serve as varsity captain during my junior and senior years for all three teams. Sports have always held a special place in my heart, and I knew I wanted to stay connected to them—whether through playing, reporting, or advocacy.
I pursued my undergraduate studies at Howard University, initially majoring in journalism with aspirations of becoming a sports journalist or broadcaster. Recognizing the value of a broader skill set—and despite the challenges of COVID-19—I transitioned to Public Relations and graduated a semester early. This achievement led me to Georgetown University's Sports Business Management master's program and an opportunity as an NBA HBCU Fellow. These experiences enriched my understanding of the industry, allowing me to forge meaningful connections with faculty and peers while bringing me closer to my dreams. They opened doors to numerous opportunities, fostering both professional and personal growth.
Throughout my career, I collaborated with diverse community partners, managing social impact projects aimed at driving positive change. My roles with organizations such as GameChanger by Dick’s Sporting Goods, Wizards District Gaming, 23XI Racing, and the Washington Wizards involved building relationships with local leaders, designing community programs, and executing marketing campaigns that resonated with varied audiences. I also gained event management experience, overseeing planning, logistics, and execution to ensure exceptional attendee experiences. This included coordinating with vendors, managing partnerships, and ensuring seamless event operations. My work with Athlete’s Voices, a platform dedicated to sports, social justice, and accessibility, deepened my commitment to community engagement and developing programs for underserved populations. I led initiatives emphasizing inclusion, equity, and representation, honing my ability to craft impactful campaigns, prepare strategic materials, and create messaging that resonated with both internal and external stakeholders.
Additionally, I developed strong organizational skills, managing budgets, contracts, and vendor relationships while adhering to tight deadlines. I supported partnership development, tracked deliverables, and contributed to program execution. These experiences strengthened my attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and clear communication, equipping me to excel in dynamic environments. I also had the opportunity to travel both domestically and internationally to support various initiatives, further broadening my industry experience.
