The Premier Lacrosse League (PLL), presented by Ticketmaster, is committed to fostering equity and inclusion within the realm of sports. The league recognizes the substantial impact and influence of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) in the sports community. In a significant move, the PLL will collaborate with the Black Lacrosse Alliance (BLA) to actively support HBCU lacrosse programs.

As part of this initiative, the PLL will donate $5 from every ticket sold during the championship series. This funding will provide vital support to nine HBCU lacrosse programs, including the Bowie State Lacrosse Club, Coppin State Lacrosse Club, Delaware State Women’s Lacrosse, Hampton University men’s lacrosse, Howard University Women’s Lacrosse, Morgan State University’s men’s and women’s lacrosse club, Maryland Eastern Shore University lacrosse club, Lincoln University lacrosse club, and the University of D.C’s men’s and women’s lacrosse.

This partnership is officially named the PLL x BLA HBCU Campaign. Through this collaboration, the PLL aims to raise awareness and resources for these institutions while strengthening the presence of lacrosse within HBCUs, promoting diversity in the sport, and empowering the next generation of athletes. The PLL stands firm in its commitment to ensuring that all athletes have access to opportunities in sports, thereby enriching the overall fabric of the community.
