Created the Washington Wizards campus ambassador program, which is where undergraduate students serve as Campus Ambassadors at universities and colleges throughout the DMV. The ambassador will be responsible for promoting Wizards community initiatives, marketing programs, and ticket sales on their campus.
Responsibilities:
Support a variety of campaigns and events, including but not limited to All-Star Voting, College Series Nights, Student Rush, Giveaway Nights, and more.
• Coordinate one (1) sports career panel at your University or College. The Wizards will provide the talent, but the ambassador will book event space, promote the panel to the student body, and serve as the moderator.
• Lead all aspects of operational needs and activations at campus events, including tabling at campus fairs, data collection for student rush and college series programs, identifying grassroots marketing opportunities in the community, and more.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Ability to work 4-5 hours per week on Wizards marketing campaigns and grassroots efforts.
• Passionate about sports and supporting the Washington Wizards brand.
• Current undergraduate student at Georgetown University, George Washington University, University of the District of Columbia, University of Maryland – College Park, Howard University, Bowie State University, Morgan State University, Coppin State University, American University, George Mason University, or The Catholic University of America, or other college or university in the DMV.
• Leader on campus with thorough knowledge of institutional structure and the surrounding community.
• Availability to work a variety of campus events, games, and giveaway nights throughout the 2024-25 Washington Wizards season.
• Outgoing personality, ability to positively interact with a passionate sports fan base.
• Organized and able to prioritize work and problem-solve in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
